Bonnie Springs Old Nevada is a re-creation of a Nevada mining town from the 1880’s. It is on Bonnie Springs Ranch, west of Las Vegas. Visitors will find wooden, raised sidewalks, saloons, an old cemetery, and all the trappings of the Old West. Lots of activities and sights are available for the whole family, such as a petting zoo, mini-train ride, cowboys and cow-girls. On weekends there are dramatic recreations, including organizing a posse where kids can help chase down the bad guys. Old Nevada portrays gunfights, a villain-heroine melodrama, and even a public hanging for the less faint of heart. There is a frontier wax mu-seum, a 19th century old west chapel (useful for weddings), facilities for meetings and gift shopping. On the ranch a visitor may catch a glimpse of some of the wildlife that runs free: deer, elk, big horn sheep, wild donkeys, coyotes, and wildcats.

Bonnie Springs Ranch was a wagon train stopping place on the Old Spanish Trail to California. It was General Fremont’s launching place for his trip to Death Valley in 1846. It has been open to the public for over 50 years.

Visitors can enjoy a friendly restaurant, cocktail lounge and overnight accommodations. Horseback riding is available at the ranch and plenty of terrain to enjoy.

Directions: Take Charleston Boulevard west (25 miles), 6 miles past Red Rock Visitor Center, on the right.
