Cantor Gaming is a mobile gaming and race and sports book operator in Las Vegas and is uniquely the first company in the state to be licensed with the Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) for the purpose of manufacturing, distributing, and operating a mobile gaming system. Their proprietary, handheld, wireless mobile device is called the e-Deck.

They are an affiliate of the Cantor Fitzgerald financial services company, which was established more than 60 years ago and is one of only 18 companies sanctioned with the Federal Reserve to trade government securities.

This financial services company entered Las Vegas’ gaming market in 2009 using its experience in financial technology and real-time execution of secure transactions to create products that would offer casinos and gamers alike a unique gaming venue.
And as CEO and President of Cantor Gaming, Lee Amaitis, reported in a 2011 Fox News interview, in its short life Cantor Gaming has seen a 70% year-over-year revenue increase and sits on 16% of the bets taken in Las Vegas. I’d say they hit the jackpot with a winning product.

The company provides exclusive sports book operations and the e-Deck at four top Las Vegas casinos, including the M Resort Spa Casino, the Tropicana Las Vegas, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and most recently, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. (The e-Deck is known as a Pocket Casino at some resorts.)

Several more casinos, such as those associated with the Las Vegas Sands Corp., will soon be opening Cantor race and sports books and providing mobile gaming to their clients. Some casinos currently offer the e-Deck but do not yet utilize Cantor Gaming’s sports book operation.

The e-Deck is a small, fairly intuitive and easy to use touch-screen gaming device. Games loaded on the device include a variety of poker, slots, and tables games, along with Cantor’s propriety casino games like Xtra Odds™Baccarat and Xtra Odds Black Jack. The games feature additional (Xtra) propositional bets that assess odds based upon the dealt cards, allowing an opportunity for players to hedge or press bets.

The e-Deck also includes Cantor’s “In-Running” technology allowing numerous bets on races and sports and on different outcomes throughout the event. Cantor Gaming's odds and spreads constantly change as a game evolves, similar to the way financial market prices constantly update.

The first to introduce In-Running betting in Nevada, Cantor Gaming is available for betting on professional and college baseball and football games, along with some selected events of horseracing, professional golf, soccer, tennis and hockey.

Customers wishing to utilize the e-Deck at one of the hotels will need to provide their hotel I.D. along with their driver’s license to the attendant, who will provide a password for the device. The e-Deck can be only be used in certain areas of the hotel, like the lounge, restaurant, or pool.

The other option of course is to place bets at Cantor’s casino sports book, where you’ll find betting windows, interactive betting stations, big screen televisions, and computerized odds boards, and a place to sit and watch the races and games.
