The New York-New Casino has taken the New York City and transported it to Vegas, complete with Lady Liberty. You’ll find other iconic New York landmarks including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Grand Central Terminal, the main immigration building on Ellis Island and the New York Harbor.
You’ll find New York-New York on the Vegas strip. You won’t have a hard time spotting it.
To get in, you must cross over the pedestrian bridge, since there’s concrete barriers that otherwise prevent passage.
After September 11, various individuals sent tributes to New York to the casino. The casino displayed the tributes on a fence near the Lady Liberty and eventually replaced the fence with a permanent memorial. The casino does not have the twin towers, since the buildings are meant to characterize New York in the 1940’s.
The resort as a whole has very friendly staff and excellent cleanliness. The casino has some of the most creative and interesting architectural designs in Vegas.
There’s a rollercoaster for the kids outside. On the inside, you’ll find a Coney Island-themed arcade where kids can play and win prizes. Both children and adults have gaming opportunities available making New York New York a good choice for families.
The main casino area is called Central Park. Sleek and modern sophistication somehow merge with manhole covers and graffiti. There are even the cobblestones from Greenwich Village and the street signs seen throughout New York.
New York-New York’s race and sports book has over 60 TV’s, letting you check out the action with the biggest golf, football, hockey, auto racing and other professional sports games. There are year-round future bets on big events like the World Series and the Superbowl.
Check out over 1,500 slots, in some 80,000 square feet of casino space. The slot machines include games like Sex and the City, Blazing 7’s, Goldfish and Megabucks. There’s also a great cocktail service.
Scattered across more than 65 gaming tables, you’ll find classic games like roulette and craps alongside less common games such as Crazy 4 Poker, to keep things varied and entertaining. At the $50 and up tables, you can ask for free food. Since it’s themed after New York, you’ll find lots of authentic ethnic cuisine.
