Graceland Wedding Chapel
The iconic Graceland Chapel has survived for 50 years, without changing its location. It remains one of a few free standing chapels, meaning that the chapel is not connected to any resorts, allowing you a much more intimate affair – just a bride, a groom, and of course, and Elvis impersonator.
While Vegas has become famous for fast weddings performed by the King, the Graceland Chapel can bask in its original Elvisness - it is the chapel that spawned a movement.
Whether you’ve always wanted Elvis presiding at your wedding or if you just want to make your friends say “You did what????” Graceland Chapel is the place.
The 30-seat chapel has off-white walls and a lovely stained glass window behind the pulpit along with doves and roses. They can perform weddings in Spanish and French.
Of course there’s musical entertainment, after all Elvis in the building - Love Me Tender, Hawaiian Wedding Song, and Can’t Help Falling in Love are a few of the favorites.
Younger couples are increasingly choosing to have Elvis wedding ceremonies. What better way to dispense with the trappings of a traditional wedding than with an Elvis wedding – they’re more fun and a heck of a lot cheaper, too.
When you choose the Graceland Chapel, you’ll receive complimentary limousine service, wedding photos, a wedding web broadcast, and a DVD of your wedding. Choose between either silk or fresh floral arrangements and a bouquet, most often made of roses. The web broadcast appears roughly 45 minutes after the ceremony.
By upgrading your package, you can receive a certificate holder and Elvis-themed sunglasses. More expensive packages even let you choose your Elvis – an Elvis dressed in black leather, a Hawaiian shirt, or a 70s style jumpsuit. The most expensive package will get you two Elvis’ for the price of one, performing on different stages.
If possible, make reservations for your Elvis wedding before you come to town. But if you’re already in Vegas, you can sometimes get your Elvis wedding set up relatively quickly. Don’t forget to bring your marriage license!
Even if you’re not planning to get married or are already married, the Graceland Chapel is a great place to visit and a Vegas landmark. The owner was actually a personal friend of Elvis himself and even received permission from the King himself to use his name.
So, if you’re looking for an Elvis wedding, join the ranks of Bon Jovi, Jay Leno, Richard Simmons and Billy Ray Cyrus and give Graceland Chapel a try.
