Click2Pay, like other “electronic wallets,” is a system for receiving and paying money over the Internet. Setting up an account is quick and uncomplicated. It can be funded by transfers from a bank or credit card. Then account holders can go to a participating website and provide just their username and number (with a password), and a transaction can be completed. The website will receive no bank account or credit card information from the account holder, just the CLICK2PAY details.
Customers mention that they appreciate the convenience as well as tight security in using CLICK2PAY as a payment method, since the only information required is the username and number, and not a lot of detail about the credit card or bank account.
CLICK2PAY does not fund online casino accounts for US customers, nor does it operate in every country. Though the number of participating merchants is constantly growing, not every online vender will process CLICK2PAY transactions.
CLICK2PAY does not disclose its fee structure on its website until AFTER you sign up for an account, a tactic that triggers suspicions from those who have been stung by Internet payment sites in the past. According to third parties, no fees are charged for making a deposit, that is, funding your account, unless it is by credit card, in which case, a 3% fee is charged. Withdrawals are a different story: Account holders may apply for a debit card, which permits withdrawals electronically. Otherwise, the only option is to receive a check by mail or courier. The minimum withdrawal is a steep $1,500. The fee for a withdrawal is also relatively high at €10. Checks are also subject to a 2.5% foreign exchange fee plus the daily interbank market rate, making the debit card approach look much more reasonable.
CLICK2PAY is based in Germany.
