Fall of Atlantis at Caesars
They say the best things in life are free and you might be inclined to agree after experiencing the seven minute fountain spectacle, hosted by the lavish Caesar’s Palace. Combining the impressive feats of animatronic warriors, plasma screen projections and an awesome, timed aquatic sequence above the 50,000 gallon aquarium - this is one freebie show you can’t afford to miss!
Fall of Atlantis brings to life the dramatic tale of King Atlas and his struggle to choose which of his off-spring should rule in his posthumous absence. A series of squabbles ensue between the siblings, each out to destroy the next in pursuit of (believed) rightful succession to their father. As tensions mounted, the siblings began employing darker strategies to bump off one another, including, but not limited to acts of poisoning and causing civil war among the people. Each fiery battle is brought to life with projected flames, explosions and flitting dark creatures, mirrored by the plasma screens to create a 3D drama unlike anything you’ll ever experience at the I-MAX!
The stage is darkened for the final two minute climax, which sees a huge 20 foot icon of Zeus ascend from the heavens, bathed in glistening prisms of light thrown up by the fountains. A thundering voice booms out across the gathered populace, decreeing that Atlantis and its inhabitants are not worthy of immortality and the day of judgment has passed. With a surprisingly abrupt crack of his animatronic staff, the entire stage is engulfed in a tumult of fire, water and strobe lighting, as the mythical city and her warring inhabitants sink without a trace.
With twice daily showings at 13:15 and 19:15 pm, there’s plenty of time to grab yourself a wedge from the Cheesecake Factory and stake out a great spot prior to the start of the show. Just remember to get there early, because in Vegas, free inevitably means overwhelmingly popular!
