Fremont

The Fremont was Las Vegas' first tall hotel when it started operations in 1956. It was where Wayne Newton got his start. Now it is owned by Boyd Gaming, which allows guests to take a free shuttle to Sam's Town and to use the pool at the nearby California, both Boyd properties. The hotel has 447 rooms.

Casino

The casino at the Fremont has 32,000 square feet for games and offers blackjack (shoe game, single deck and double deck pitch games), three card poker, Let it Ride and more. Also offered are roulette ($2 minimum) and 4 craps tables. There are over 1,000 slots, video poker and keno machines are available, as well as live keno and a 42-seat race and sports book. The book has the Coast casinos betting lines, 30 TVs and one big screen.

Lounges and Bars

The bars are in the casino, a sports bar near the book, and bars in both Tony Roma´s and in the art deco-style Second Street Grill.

Dining

The Second Street Grill offers to diners a mixture of Hawaiian and Pacific Rim cuisine together with classic American favorites. The restaurant's décor is in an art deco style. Tony Roma's is well known for its steaks, seafood, barbecue ribs, chicken, and their sought-after onion rings. Fremont Paradise Café is a tropical theme, all-you-can-eat buffet of the Las Vegas tradition. Lanai is there for guests on the run who want hot dogs and burgers or quick Chinese food.

Pools

The Fremont does not have a pool, but guests have access to the Pool at the nearby California, another Boyd property.

Shopping

At the California, another Boyd property nearby, there is shopping on Bridge Avenue, including gifts with a local Las Vegas touch, Hawaiian specialties, chocolates and ice cream. Just beyond is the Fremont Street Experience, where serious shoppers go for a real treat. Also in the offing are Las Vegas Premium Outlets and a large movie complex.

Meetings and Conventions

The Fremont has a 6,500 square foot space for banquets and business meetings. Hotel staff will assist with the catering and planning services to support events booked there.
