Featuring the most awe inspiring holes ever designed by one of the greatest names in all of golf – the legendary Jack 'Golden Bear' Nicklaus – you'd be a fool to miss up and opportunity to play this course if you happen to be in the Las Vegas area.

Set at the base of the Red Rock Mountains and just seven miles west of the Las Vegas Strip - it offers up a beautiful vista of both the mountains and the Strip - not to mention the occasional coyote passing through.

With its challenging and varied hole designs – immaculate fairway/tee complexes and well manicured bent grass greens – Bear's Best represents the epitome of high grade golfing in Las Vegas. They are even overseen during the winter months to ensure optimal conditions there, all year round.

But the most satisfying part of the experience is you get to peer inside one of the greatest golfing minds to ever exist - as replicas of his 18 best ever designed holes are there for a golfer to tackle.
And you know the hole variety is going to be as good as it gets, considering that Nicklaus had thousands of holes to choose from when he designed this replica course.

This exciting resort course is full of elevated tees overlooking gorgeous scenery. It's also certainly a challenge, with it's plentiful supply of bunkers - at times very steep - and a championship yardage of 7,194 yards. Fancy a quick round instead? Then look for the Green Bear Tee Marker on every hole, approximately 100 yards in front of the Red Tees near the cart path, to play the Fastee Course™. Measuring in at 3,004, The Fastee Course™, is perfect for juniors, seniors, beginners and those looking to improve their short game.

Nicklaus' holes were selected from his designs in Colorado, Mexico, Arizona and elsewhere, yet these holes all seamlessly blend in with one another, creating some dramatic shots both up, down, and across hill. By the time you leave the 18th hole – each and every hole will be seared in your mind forever.

Topping it all off are some of the best amenities you'll ever find at a golf resort – period. There is a two-acre practice facility with two practice greens, short game area, three-tiered driving range, Bushnell yardage for precision targets and Titleist NXT range balls set up in a pyramid style. But even more unbelievably, the GPS enabled golf carts provide video descriptions of each hole before an aerial fly-over reveals the hole in even greater detail. You're going to be getting the high roller Vegas treatment out here – befitting the multi-million dollar designer homes that are set on the course's perimeter.

The peak season green fees are $275, although it can be booked cheaper using off-season golf packages or by utilizing their group rates. Bear's Best also specializes in hosting wedding and corporate functions at its expansive clubhouse facility. There is a wide range of dining options available, from light salads and home-made food at Jack's Place through to an always roaring BBQ over at Bears Den – there is bound to be something for everyone – and all of it can be taken onto the patio area outside so you can soak up all the atmosphere and scenery whilst you enjoy your meal.
