Encompassed by the looming Spring Mountains of Summerlin, within a community known as Siena - a refreshing departure from the arid flat courses lies like a glittering gem, amid spectacular lagoons, lakes and waterways. Siena Golf Club ticks every box for breathtaking scenery, however the contoured landscape of bent-grass greens and fluctuating elevations present the ideal course plan for even the hardiest golf enthusiast.

Florid landscaping and immaculate ground-keeping go some way toward conveying the commitment to excellence promised by Siena Golf Club. Artfully devised by master duo Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, the landscape compliments much of its natural environment – including the rugged wash of the nearby canyon mountains. Featuring delicate palm plantations and desert waste bail-outs, the grounds here remain as much an important natural habit for wildlife, as they do a premier retreat for vacationing golfers.

Situated on the desert peninsular of Summerlin South, the architectural masterpiece of Siena is appropriately connected to the heart of the Glitter Gulch in Las Vegas, via a plenitude of local tour and travel operators. The “Golf City” as Summerlin has become known, is home to a variety of mid to upscale lodging options, including the Best Western and La Quinta brands. An abundance of amenities from restaurant promenades, to the chic Trails Village Shopping Center provide ample delights for day excursions just five minutes from the Siena Golf Club.

Extending 6,843 yards from the back tees, the acclaimed par-72 Siena course is a ripe challenge for championship players, subsequently offering equal opportunities for amateurs, with four tees per box. Large expanses of slender fairway cut between mirror-like stretches of water, promising an eclectic range of demanding shots. Schmidt and Curley also improvised the relatively flat plateau with purpose-built elevations and deep pit bunkers, throwing in a great many contours to give the course its slope rating of 129 on Rye grass.

Key to the continued popularity of the semi-private Siena Golf Club has been the attentive and exceptional service, consistently delivered by the on-site team. Even Saturday workers within the Pro Shop have been praised for their enthusiastic assistance and first-class knowledge. The 14,000 square foot clubhouse may seem compact, however it more than holds its own for superior amenities. Visitors are charmed by the course-facing patio extending from the all-day restaurant, as well as the variegated ranch style menu. The Italian-styled Bistro on the South side of the clubhouse presents a more formal dining atmosphere, often with the bonus of live acoustic entertainment. Unwind in style with a glass of wine on the Tuscan terrace, for this is the luxury Siena's owners envisioned for every guest!
