Beset among the splendid backdrop of the rolling Desert Hills, the 640-acre gated enclave of Spanish Trail lures with a par excellence beyond expectation for intermediate and advanced golfers.

Formerly the route of Spanish merchants plying trade from New Mexico to Los Angeles, this upmarket South-Western community now enjoys an exclusive reputation for it's championship 27-hole members-only golf course, nestled at the heart of the Spanish Trail territory. Designed by Chambers Bay architect Robert Trent Jones Junior, Spanish Trail Country Club takes inspiration from the admirable beauty of the caramel desert and rising peaks, while retaining the key elements of a classic links course. Situated less than 3 miles from the buzzing Strip, the Spanish Trail club brings a semblance of calm and tranquility, whilst remaining at a commutable distance from central attractions.

Launched in 1984, the three course Country Club is widely considered the oldest of it's kind within the boundaries of the Las Vegas municipal area. The rural sanctuary is divided into three nine-hole courses, bounded by an affluent residential complex of 1,250 condos and villas mostly built between the 80's and 90's. Measuring 3,424 yards from the rear tees, the Sunrise course offers a mixed terrain of rolling lawns and undulating landscape, punctuated by watercourses and a tree-lined rough. It's highlight is the PGA class ninth hole, beautified by a trickling waterfall and the stuccoed clubhouse. Considered the most demanding of Spanish Trail's three courses, the fifth hole of Sunrise has earned itself a reputation as one of the toughest of the PGA Tour ever since the club hosted the Las Vegas Invitational in 1989.

Spanish Trail most expansive and enduring course is the Canyon Course, stretching 3,576 yards from the back tees and proving a toughy for even the most disciplined of professionals. Hole seven challenges with a 215 yard par three, punctuated by bunkers on each side and undulating terrain, with a pressurizing glimpse of the 567 yard par five on the eighth hole. Framed by watercourses and a rippling lake, Canyon Course is one of those that invites you to breathe in, soak up the surroundings and analyze your shot. With such breathtaking surroundings, it's little wonder many choose Canyon as the follow-up to the first nine.

The Lakes Course is without doubt the most visually arresting of the three. Centered around a linked landscape of gurgling streams and placid lakes, the nine-hole stretch is a joy to behold for those with a little time on their hands. Six of the nine holes are bounded by water, while the remaining three are somewhat undulating and unruly. Hole two holds a prestige as one of the most scenic in Nevada State, challenging with a 601 yard approach and a distractingly picturesque waterfall. Take a breather on the 3rd par three and enjoy photogenic vistas across two of Spanish Trail's largest lakes.

With a fair rating of par 72, the Spanish Trail Golf Club presents admirable surroundings within which to up your game, yet is not so challenging as to prove impossible for amateurs. The not-for-profit club prides itself upon offering superior amenities, inclusive of a short driving range and sophisticated club-house for post-play relaxation. Enjoy personal service and decadent dining within the recently renovated grill restaurant or the exclusive bar – it's a facet of Vegas you'll never forget.
