Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace, one of the original hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, was made famous by the many movies set there and by their entertainers, such as Frank Sinatra, Liberace, George Burns, Diana Ross, Cher, Julio Iglesias, David Copperfield, and Gloria Estefan. The hotel is called "Caesars" and not "Caesar's" because the founder felt that every guest should be treated like a Caesar.

The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is a 4,000-seat concert venue. It is a state-of-the art facility, custom-designed for a spectacular theatrical production A New Day... starring Celine Dion. Bette Midler has been announced as Dion's formal replacement in 2007. Elton John will continue to perform his popular Red Piano show, which is an acclaimed overview of his career. The Colosseum also hosts many other entertainment events, and is home to some the best-known entertainers in the world including Jerry Seinfeld.

Caesars offers additional attractions including: a showroom of exotic cars, a free show called "The Fall of Atlantis," a free show called "Festival Fountain," and two 36,000 square foot nightclubs: Pure (progressive DJs, awesome views and sexy style) and The Pussycat Dolls. A section of the casino has been decorated in the same theme as the Pussycat Dolls Nightclub and is now called the Pussycat Dolls Casino.

The casino at Caesars Palace occupies more than 129,000 square feet and includes everything from high limit slot machnes to all the table games. There is an active poker room. Ceasars Palace also offers a "Total Rewards Card" that allows guests to receive comp dollars, invitations to special events, and complimentary stays.

Guests of Caesars Palace can enjoy top-rated golf at two of the nation's most beautiful courses - Cascata Golf and Rio Secco. Cascata is just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. It has been named among "America's Best Top 100 Modern Courses" by Golfweek. Rio Secco, one of the best golf courses in Las Vegas, features panoramic views of the Las Vegas valley. The Rio Secco Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by Rees Jones, Golf World magazine's 1995 "Golf Architect of the Year." It is just 12 minutes south of the Las Vegas Strip. Rio Secco is a favorite of celebrities. Tiger Woods still holds the course record of 64.

Qua Baths and Spa was designed as a luxurious escape that brings the client to understand how the Romans regarded water as a vehicle for health and healing. One can visit socially with a friend or plan a purely personal trip to the spa.. Three separate pools with different sizes and temperatures make up the Roman Bath part of the spa. The Laconium Room is heated and the Arctic Ice Room is so cold that snow falls in it. The tea room is peaceful, where teas are matched to the treatments.

The fitness center is filled with natural light from huge bay windows. It offers state-of-the-art Technogym equipment for both aerobic and anaerobic conditioning.

Caesars Palace boasts 240,000 square feet of space dedicated for meetings, conventions and exhibits. All technological requirements of clients can be met, and there are up to 24 board rooms, small meeting rooms and break-out rooms. The Coliseum and the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis can also be booked for seminars or special events up to several thousand persons.

"Shadow: A Bar at Caesars Palace" is the destination lounge at Caesars. Other choices include Cleopatra's Barge, a fancy floating lounge that is an ornate replica of the craft that rode Cleopatra down the Nile in the time of Marc Anthony and Julius Caesar, the Galleria Bar, a relaxing lounge that features classic Vegas-style live entertainment, the Spanish Steps, a vibrant, outdoor meeting place like the original in Rome, and the Seahorse Lounge, a contemporary meeting place bar. Caesars has also opened the Roman Plaza, an open-air area with a café on the corner.

The 4½ acre Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis provides four pools and two whirlpool spas, surrounded by lawns, fountains and classic statues. The circular Temple Pool is the main attraction, with its 10,000 square feet of flowing water, covered by a rotunda in the central island. The pools are decorated with fine stone -- marble and granite -- and trimmed in mosaics. The Neptune Pool is a 5,000-square-foot rectangular heated pool used mainly for laps. The Venus Pool is the place for sun bathing, offering twelve poolside cabanas.

When "The Forum Shops at Caesars" opened; it was one of the first venues in which shopping at high-end stores became an attraction in itself. The Forum Shops feature one of only two circular escalators in the USA. The Forum Shops include more than 160 boutiques with world famous names on their storefronts, as well as 13 restaurants and specialty food shops. The "Appian Way Shops" are located in a quiet shopping arcade, accented by a life-size replica of Michelangelo's David. Here the shopper can browse through the finest selections of chocolate, apparel, gifts, art and jewelry.
