The show American Casino on the Discovery Channel has popularized this upscale resort, which attracts a high-end clientele. The large race and sports book has been re-modeled and is equipped with 5 big screens and 170 seats with individual TV's. Two restaurants are near the sports book: Tides Oyster Bar and the Turf Grill. The race players can use betting machines permit the players to place wagers and not have to get up from their seats.

Hank's Fine Steaks & Martinis combines a high quality restaurant, prime steaks, fresh sea-food, appetizers and memorable side dishes as well as live entertainment at the piano bar beforehand or for a night cap. Specialties include steak Chateaubriand, fresh Western Australian lobster served with a lemon buerre blanc and home-made ice cream. Il Fornaio purveys award-winning Italian dishes. The Original Pancake House is an unusual option, offering many variations of pancakes, like the apple pancake and the crepe-like '49er flap-jacks. Popular for breakfast, this restaurant even has a dinner menu with steak and chicken. Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que and King's Fish House are in the District at Green Valley Ranch. There is a Feast Around the World Buffet, and the Grand Café offers meals 24 hours per day.

The expanded Spa at Green Valley Ranch provides 60,000 square feet of space to pamper guests. A reflecting pool greets the spa visitor. The cardio and weight equipment are located on the entry level of the spa. The gym has a nice view of the city. Cabanas, loungers and an outdoor steam bath can be found in the private pool area of the spa. Spinning and yoga instruction is also available. Hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms are provided in gender-separated facilities. Massages include Swedish, shiatsu, deep tissue and hot stone. Many different facials and body treatments are offered. Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa offers facilities and staff to accommodate meetings, conferences and special events. Over 50,000 square feet of event space is available for gatherings of 10 to 1,600 persons, including two ballrooms and up to 12 breakout meeting rooms.

The Whiskey dance club attracts a hip crowd. The club itself is a large, inviting room designed for both dancing and socializing. The dance floor includes four go-go platforms with poles. When the club's dancers are not performing, someone in the crowd may try out a little pole dancing. Whiskey Beach, the 8-acre pool area adjacent to The Whiskey, is always available for an escape to the outdoors and the panoramic views of the Strip and the Vegas valley.

Ovation Lounge features a hot new Las Vegas Band, Rich & Famous. The band plays the best of Top 40 and party music with smooth vocals. A hip and casual place to enjoy a cock-tail is the Drop Bar, located in the center of the casino. It has a modern decor with dark floors and white bar stools. Fadó Irish Pub is a typical pub with noise and laughter. The menu is part Irish and part American-Mexican, with a selection of Irish coffees, brews, whiskey and wines.

Whiskey Beach. Like its indoor club version, the outdoor party venue is neat and elegant, featuring cabanas, comfortable lounges and even day beds. Tennis is available, and also bocce ball. The amphitheater is the preferred entertainment venue for all outdoor events. A private swimming area at The Pond is designed for European-style sun worship.
