A vast collection of rock-and-roll memorabilia fills the property including a Kurt Cobain guitar and leather jackets from the likes of U2, Aerosmith and Ramones. At the casino pit entrance are motorcycles that Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe and Matt Sorum of Guns N' Roses used to ride. The Hard Rock is completely circular with the casino to the inside and the shops and restaurants on the outside. There are 583 rooms and 63 suites. The theme, obviously, is Rock 'n' Roll. Light fixtures are made from drum cymbals. Door handles are shaped like Fender guitars. The Hard Rock nurtures a hedonistic atmosphere suggesting a backstage, post-show party. The rock 'n' roll music plays ceaselessly and almost every-where throughout the property.
The, 30,000 square-foot Casino offers blackjack, craps, Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker, roulette, slots, baccarat and megabucks. Many slots have guitar-neck handles, blackjack lay-outs have rock-related art and the craps tables are covered with Grateful Dead lyrics. A swim-up, poolside casino area offers blackjack. The Hard Rock race and sports book is now in a separate area, closed off from the main casino, with its own bar. It features daily lines, futures, pari-mutuel racing and exotics. There are 28 plasma screens, 2 big screens and seating for 60.
Simon Kitchen & Bar is a casual, patio-style dining locale with a view of the pool. The menu is unusual, innovative and tempting with dishes like tuna dynamite, pine nut-parmesan-crusted halibut, braised short ribs and unique desserts. Nobu is one of five Japanese restaurants in the world designed and operated by Nobu Matsuhisa. The restaurant is known for its Kobe beef carpaccio and its tiradito with cilantro, chili paste, and yuzu-lemon juice. AJ's Steakhouse comes right out of "Ocean's Eleven" with the traditional Las Vegas steakhouse menu and the piano and bar. The Pink Taco is an award-winning Mexican restaurant with a touch of Central America and the Caribbean. Sabana de Pollo and Carne Asada are favorite entrées. The bar offers a complete selection of beers and tequilas. Mr. Lucky's 24/7 is a 24-hour no-frills café of the conventional Las Vegas variety, but with the design flair of the Hard Rock.
The Joint is a top-of-the-line concert venue for 2,000 people (SRO) or 1,500 seated listeners. Rolling Stone magazine called the Joint "the rock and roll equivalent of the Grand Ole Opry." Despite its large size, it creates a cabaret impression. Monitors mirror the stage for those in line at the bars. The sound system is the latest of its kind. Major acts are booked into The Joint for short runs throughout the year.
Reservations and tee times are provided through Walters Golf, a contractor that can book just about any golf venue in the area.
The Rock Spa and Health Club and the Brannon Salon are provided to help the guest "re-cover" from the partying and gaming. The fitness area keeps up the same rock music that is piped all over the resort, but the spa offers refuge from it all. Eight treatment rooms are available for wraps, scrubs and massages. Airbrush tanning and waxing are also offered. Men's and women's spas feature steam rooms and saunas, whirlpools and relaxation areas. Guests can try boxing classes and engage personal trainers to help with the workouts. The fitness area, which overlooks the hotel pool, offers state-of-the-art cardio and weight equipment as well as a large selection of free weights. The remodeled Brannon Salon offers manicures and pedicures, hair styling and other services as well as a view of the whole pool area.
The 60,000 square feet of event space has an ample conference center. Penthouses can be engaged for private events.
Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel is an elegant nightclub, with an added intangible, that might be called "attitude" or "edge." The club is located under The Joint. It has mirrored walls, crystal chandeliers, rich leather booths and black walls. The layout includes booths, bars, a VIP area, and bottle service. Naturally, the music reflects the name and tradition of the Hard Rock itself.
The Hard Rock's pool invites the guest to an oasis with 35 cabanas, three swim-up black-jack tables and the poolside bar and grill. The pool décor includes palm trees, a water course and waterfall and sandy beaches. A built-in dance floor provides a venue for concerts and other events. The Palapa Hut is a hip watering hole. The Hard Rock takes pains to make this place at once the hottest and the coolest place in town. Every Sunday the pool area becomes Rehab, a trendy beach party.
The Hard Rock invites guests to the world's largest Hard Rock Store, Love Jones lingerie boutique, the Cuba Libre Cigar Shop and Rocks - The Jewelers.
