One of the family of Station Casinos owned and operated by Boyd Gaming, Main Street Station is a large, classic Victorian hotel and gaming parlor on a busy corner of Downtown Las Vegas, across the street from the Plaza and two blocks away from the "Fremont Street Experience." An enclosed footbridge connects it with the California (the "Cal"), a sibling property, which is a resource for guests seeking shopping or a pool. Main Street Station was constructed in 2005 from an abandoned hotel building. The hotel has 416 rooms, including 14 suites.
The lobby is filled with Victorian era antiques and other memorabilia, including Buffalo Bill's rail car, a collection of fine glass lamps, and a piece of the Berlin wall.
The casino is small by Vegas standards at 28,500 square feet, but surely spacious enough for its table games and the 900 popular slot machines and video poker games. The casino holds a slot tournament every day. The table games include blackjack, Let It Ride, Progressive Pai Gow Poker, three card poker, roulette and craps. Players Gold is the rewards pro-gram for accumulating points for prizes and payouts.
The Pullman Grill is a Las Vegas steakhouse in the classic mold, with entrée choices that include beef, veal, lamb, seafood and chicken. Décor is, not surprisingly, Victorian, with many antiques on display. The Triple 7 is a popular brew pub, with lots of choices for lov-ers of beers, ales and stouts. The menu has a variety of meal offerings from oysters, to steak and sushi, to burgers and pizza. The Garden Court Buffet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in typical buffet style with nine live stations.
Main Street Station offers its catering and banquet capabilities for meetings and special events, including wedding receptions. Two venues, the Social Club (capacity 160) and the Pullman Grille (capacity 120), are available. The Social Club can be equipped with audio-visual equipment, or a dance floor, according to client requirements.
Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the pool on the roof of the neighboring California Hotel. The pool is open from April to September.
Take the pedestrian walkway to Bridge Avenue at the Cal, or head out into the Fremont Street Experience.
