Mandalay Bay has 3,215 rooms and 1,100 suites in two towers: the main hotel, which is the more affordable component and the 43-story THEhotel, which is a sleek, luxurious but minimalist alternative in the format of a boutique hotel. The Shark Reef hosts over 1,200 species of marine life. In addition to sharks and rays, there are fish (tropical and fresh water), and different kinds of marine invertebrates and reptiles. Visitors can also spot golden crocodiles, green sea turtles and water monitors. Approximately 2000 animals are on display in the 105,000 square-foot facility. It is an oceanic wonderland in the middle of the desert, accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association and one of the largest exhibits of its kind in North America.

Mandalay Bay offers all of the classic and favorite table games, such as blackjack, craps and roulette. The Casino also provides the full gamut of poker options, and holds weekly tournaments and free poker lessons. Just some of the restaurant options within the Man-dalay Bay Hotel Casino Las Vegas are Fleur de Lys (French), Wolfgang Puck's Trattoria del Lupo (Italian), Aureole, (gourmet American), Bay Side Buffet, The Border Grill, (Mexican), China Grill (Asian), and Chocolate Swan (desserts and pastries).

Mandalay Bay offers many venues for Las Vegas concerts including a 12,000-seat arena, a 1,600-seat Broadway-style theater, beach side concerts and an old fashioned blues club.

Mamma Mia!, playing at the Events Center, is an homage to the songs of Abba. This Broadway hit causes audiences literally to dance in the aisles. Twenty-two of Abba's great-est hits are woven into a touching love story.

The House of Blues Foundation Room is an exclusive Vegas club, open on Monday nights to everyone for a special after-hours party called "Godspeed."

Shadow Creek Guests at Mandalay Bay are welcomed at the acclaimed Shadow Creek course, designed by well-known golf architect Tom Fazio. Shadow Creek provides the golfer the natural beauty of rolling terrain, running creeks, lush gardens and views of the mountains. The guest's options are to try the Primm Valley Resorts Golf Courses, featuring two Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole rounds - the Lakes course and the Desert course. Both were honored as two of the top 100 public courses in the nation by Golf Magazine in 2000.

Spa Mandalay is a 30,000 square foot, full-service spa combining the best techniques and products with skilled staff and relaxing ambiance. It also offers a 3,000 square foot fitness center, oak lockers and all the other amenities. In THEhotel, guests will find the bathhouse, a simple yet elegant spa for cleansing and healing. the bathhouse provides various pools carefully maintained at different temperatures, as well as a waterfall and baths. The walls are of slate and the floors are of marble. Water, the theme of the spa, is seen and heard flowing throughout the spa. The 14,000-square-foot spa includes steam rooms and saunas, twelve treatment rooms and a full array of massages, wraps and facials. Nearly 1.5 million square feet of space is available to support a Las Vegas event. From small executive gatherings to enormous conventions and trade shows, Mandalay Bay has the staff, facilities, catering and equipment to meet the needs of business. The Events Center is better known for headline concerts and championship boxing matches, but it can be reserved for meetings and conventions. In addition, Mandalay Bay provides four pillar free, high-ceiling ballrooms ranging from 31,000 to 100,000 square feet, 38,818 square feet of exhibit space and 26,100 square feet of meeting and function space. It seats 12,000 in a full arena setting. When it opened, the Convention Center was the fifth largest convention facil-ity in the United States, and the largest on the Las Vegas Strip.

Forty Deuce redefines the lost art of burlesque. Dancers provide a classic Las Vegas show but with new striptease elements. Later, the DJ creates a dance groove for partying until dawn. rumjungle begins its nightly show with dueling conga drums. This three-tiered night-club keeps things active on all levels with the world's largest rum bar, one of Vegas' best dance floors and shows of dancers, aerialists and live percussionists.

The Coral Reef Lounge provides a break from the noise and activity of the casino. It offers the guest a relaxing milieu of virtual vegetation, rock waterfalls, and lily pond. The Mix Lounge atop THEhotel aims to be one of the most stylishly hip hot spots in town. Unusual cocktails and an innovative bar menu are accompanied by a blend of music from able DJs. Also in THEhotel, the lounge is a modern and swank hangout for having a conversation, watching a game or playing in the billiards room. It is a meeting place and the site of many a nightcap at the end of an energetic evening. Inside Fleur de Lys, Mandalay Bay's signature French restaurant, a cozy Lounge offers DJ music for a soft and sexy atmosphere. The j-pop Lounge is a sushi bar that provides casual meals as well. In the Orchid Lounge guests find a variety of coffees and pastries. The Island Lounge is at the center of the casino floor and specializes in tropical drinks.

Mandalay Bay's pool area seems more like a water park, covering 11 acres and featuring three exotic pools, lush gardens, waterfalls, fountains, a sandy beach, a lazy river, and a wave pool. At the Moorea Beach Club guests can enjoy a European style (topless) beach, featuring two dipping pools. Cabanas, rafts and inner tubes are all available. The pool is also home to the Beach Concert Series, which takes advantage of a stage that juts into the wave pool. Guests can watch from the water or from the sandy beach. Acts range from jazz to hard rock. Mandalay Bay also adds a new twist to Las Vegas by offering the only climate-controlled poolside gaming in the city. The three-story, glass-fronted casino provides dining, gaming and poolside activities, all in one climate-controlled context.

At Mandalay Place the shopper will recognize the names of restaurants, retail stores and world-famous designers for apparel and the home. The sky bridge between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor is home to the 100,000-square-foot shopping attraction. Of the forty or so places to shop, eat or drink, many are making their Las Vegas debut here. They include Lush Puppy (a boutique for pets), 55 Degrees Wine + Design, The Reading Room, Bejeweled, GF Ferré, Urban Outfitters, the one-of-a-kind Nike Golf shop, Oilily (a Dutch cloth-ing shop for kids), Lik Design and the Peter Lik Gallery. Other shops include Samantha Chang and Sauvage swimwear boutique. Davidoff has an outlet here. Fornarina, Chocolate Swan and Cream also tempt passers by.

Mandalay Bay's two wedding chapels are built on the shores of an 11-acre tropical lagoon, a fitting backdrop for a Las Vegas wedding. Ceremonies can be highly personalized or provided in more traditional formats. The wedding coordinators will help to make the special day come out perfectly in each detail. Various wedding packages are available, including all of the support options from beauty salon treatment, to flowers, photography and transportation.
