30 Strada di Villaggio, Henderson, Nevada 89011

MonteLago Village Resort is located on Lake Las Vegas, the 320-acre manmade waterfront near Lake Meade. The Las Vegas Strip is 17-miles away. It is part of a small community of lodging, shops and dining designed to recreate a Tuscan mountain setting. The resort is operated by Intrawest. Its neighbors include a Ritz Carlton and Loews Lake Las Vegas. The 349 rooms and suites, which are individually owned units, are found in three five-floor buildings clustered around a central lobby. There are recreational amenities, like the large pool, and many activities that can be arranged for guests, like golf, horseback riding, and any of the water sports associated with the lake. Each tower has its own fitness room.

During the warmer months, the Village sponsors lakeside activities for the family, including jazz concerts, movies, "wine walks," and performances by local entertainers on Saturdays.

The Casino Montelago, which is next to the resort, is under separate ownership and management. It closed in June of 2007 with the promise of reopening under new management and a new licensee. The casino will offer around 12 table games including craps, roulette, blackjack and Texas Hold'em. Several hundred slot and video poker machines will be on hand, as well as a modern race and sports book with multiple plasma TV's.

Como's Restaurant is an informal steakhouse, with some nouvelle cuisine touches like tor-tilla wraps and quiche. Bistro Zinc specializes in French and Cajun dishes. Caffè Positano is an epicurean approach to breakfast and lunch, including a special Sunday Brunch. Luna Rossa has genuine Italian cooking in harmony with the village setting. Tutti Gelati is a wonderful place for dessert.

The Village itself is the place for food and drink, as the lodging facilities do not maintain a separate restaurant and the casino bar and restaurant are not open. At the Auld Dubliner, guests can enjoy authentic Irish food and drink as well as a complete array of tasty bar food items.

The developers of Lake Las Vegas included two championship golf courses in the design, one by Jack Nicklaus and one by Tom Weiskopf. The resort guest services desk can arrange a tee time at either one.

There is a spa in the village that will provide massages, facials and other treatments.

The MonteLago has ample banquet space for meetings and special occasions, and a full-service business center.

The resort has two pools with a sundeck, a large kid's pool and two hot tubs. There is also a beach area on the lake front near the marina.

MonteLago Village has several boutique and other retail stores for the shopping enthusiast. Examples are Alexander Perfume and Cosmetics, Moonbeams (ladies' apparel, shoes and accessories), Collector's Fine Art Glass Artique, (gallery) and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
