The facade of New York New York Hotel and Casino presents the skyline of the Big Ap-ple, including the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. The inside presents the visitor with the greenery of Central Park, leading to the casino. The bar is in the middle of Times Square with all of the sound and lighting of this historical New York place. The hotel has 1,920 rooms and 104 suites.

New York New York can take the guest to Coney Island for a real roller coaster ride. The Roller Coaster lifts riders to 203 feet and drops 144 feet, reaching 67 mph. There is a jet fighter's barrel roll, turning 180 degrees, hanging 86 feet in the air, and then performing what the operators call a "heartline" twist and dive.

The casino occupies about two acres and provides table games (roulette, craps, blackjack, baccarat, Pai Gow poker, Caribbean stud, and all the rest). New York New York also offers keno and more than 2,000 slot machines. Players can try their luck at Monopoly, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Megabucks, Blazing 7's, Elvis and Empire Slots, to name just some of them. There is a separate poker room and a race and sports book that seats 40 players, out-fitted with the latest TVs and big screens.

New York-New York offers many dining options, including: America, Gallagher's Steak-house, Gonzalez y Gonzalez, and Il Fornaio. Il Fornaio is an Italian restaurant, one in a successful California-based chain. The farfalle al salmone, lasagna ferrarese and ravioli di verdura are special pasta dishes. The Gonzalez y Gonzalez is a rendition of a New York City Mexican cafe with an outdoor courtyard complete with piñatas and tequila bar.

ESPN Zone is a two-story, 33,000-square-foot bar/restaurant for sports fanatics. There is a Screening Room, the Sports Arena and the Studio Grill dining area, which offers typical sports bar fare such as chicken wings, cheese fries and sliders.

The Bar at Times Square features a well-known dueling piano show mostly featuring crowd pleasers from Billy Joel and Elton John.

The Big Apple Bar at New York-New York features cocktails made by certified "mixologists," all named for New York landmarks.

Zumanity, The Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil, is described as "a seductive twist on reality, making the provocative playful and the forbidden electrifying." It is a combination of Cirque du Soleil offerings and the classic, sexy Las Vegas show -- part burlesque and part cabaret.

New York New York books headliners for its comedy theater. Entertainers like Roseanne Barr perform "in-your-face, all-you-can-stand" laughing.

Guests are welcome to try out their golfing prowess at the Primm Valley Golf Courses: The Lakes Course and the Desert Course. The Lakes Course, which opened in February 1997, was selected as one of the top 10 best new courses in '97 by Golf Digest Magazine. It plays to 6,945 yards and a par 71. The Desert Course, which opened in May 1998, is somewhat more demanding, measuring 7,131 yards and a par 72.

The Spa at New York - New York is designed for the pleasure and pampering of everyone in gender-separate facilities. The Regis Signature salon addresses beauty salon needs, including hairstyling, manicures and pedicures, deep conditioning and coloring. A complete fitness facility awaits the athletically inclined.

New York-New York's promotes its meetings and convention facilities as "versatile venues." Traditional meeting rooms with diverse configurations are offered, and groups may also book the theater, restaurants or pool area. Coyote Ugly creates the atmosphere of a drinking joint with a college party going on. The saloon was built in the style of a southern country and western bar, like the one in New Your that was the basis for a film. It has plank floors and walls. The bars are clear of all stools and chairs. Coyote Ugly is known for its hot female bartenders who periodically dance on the bar itself. Only shots and beer are served.

Nine Fine Irishmen is a pub inspired by a group of nine famous men who fought for Irish independence in 1848. The 9,000 square foot pub was imported directly from Ireland, including the Victorian bar, cottage areas and "snugs." A full range of traditional Irish stouts, lagers and ales is offered, as well as lively Irish entertainment including storytelling, song and dance.

New York New York's large pool and three whirlpools provide excitement or relaxation, according to the guest's desires. Cabanas are available, as well as bar and restaurant service and all the other amenities of a top-line hotel.
