Treasure Island

Treasure Island (which has nicknamed itself "TI" to appeal to a younger and hipper public) provides classic Las Vegas entertainment, gaming, dining, and amenities in the heart of the Strip. Treasure Island is adjacent to the Fashion Show Mall.

Periodically throughout the day and evening, TI puts on a free show at its entrance called The Sirens of TI. Like a modern Pirates of Penzance, the show starts with an encounter between a group of beautiful maidens and a pirate band. These "sirens" entice the pirates to a cove with their powerful music and then convert Sirens' Cove into an enormous beach party venue.

As an MGM Mirage resort, Treasure Island welcomes the MGM Players Club card for playing slots and table games and to qualify for member benefits. In the large casino guests can play "World Poker Tour All-In Hold 'Em" -- the same excitement that millions watch on television weekly. (The players play only against the dealer, who follows prescribed rules.) Other options include all the classic table games: blackjack, roulette, craps, and bac-carat and the newer options like Pai Gow poker and tiles, three card poker, Let it Ride, stud poker, and big six. For poker players there are eight live action Hold'em tables in the poker room, 24 hours a day. Seven widescreen televisions broadcast all the sports action. Tournaments are organized "around the clock." TI also offers the latest of slot games in the casino. TI's Race and Sports Book is an ideal place to hang out for viewing and wagering on the hottest games and races of the season.

Social House is fun, hip and alive, featuring a live DJ and an interactive sushi restaurant. This high-tech eatery converts easily into a lounge for the late night crowd. The ambiance is just made for enjoying sake, wine and all the other libations. Seating on the Patio Lounge provides views of the Strip. The Steak House serves prime cuts of meat and top shelf sea-food. Start with cocktails at the cosmopolitan bar.

Francesco's is an up-scale trattoria that looks like a Mediterranean villa. The cooking is Tuscan, too: osso bucco, chicken parmigiana share the menu with lasagna and other pasta favorites.

Isla Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar is both a fine restaurant and a bar, with its enormous wall of tequilas and margarita specialties. There's always a party at Kahunaville! This tropical hot spot offers eclectic eats, island drinks, and flair bartenders. It offers traditional Mexican cuisine with a modern twist, and received Las Vegas Life Magazine's award as the best Mexican Restaurant in Las Vegas.

Cirque du Soleil stimulates the audience with Mystère! The troupe creates a different world where fantasies are played out in vivid color. The Las Vegas Review Journal has named Mystère the "Best Production Show" in town on eight different occasions. Mystère´s cast includes 72 musicians, singers and dancers as well as astounding acrobats.

Guests at TI may decide to play a round of golf at the acclaimed Shadow Creek course. Designed by well-known architect Tom Fazio, Shadow Creek provides the golfer the natural beauty of rolling terrain, running creeks, lush gardens and views of the mountains. The other option is to try the Primm Valley Resorts Golf Course, which has quickly become one of the most desired golf outings in Las Vegas. It features two spectacular Tom Fazio-designed golf courses - the Lakes course and the Desert course. Both courses were honored as two of the top 100 public courses in the nation on Golf Magazine's prestigious "Top 100 You Can Play" list for 2000.

Wet Touch Spa provides elegant and luxurious surroundings for both men and women, where guests can relax and receive massages of all sorts, facials and body treatments, administered by a staff of trained professionals. Aromatherapy, treatment rocks, pregnancy massage, and other special services are also provided. Beauty salon services for women and stylist services for men are provided through Wet Touch.

The 11,800 square-foot Ballroom at Treasure Island can accommodate functions for up to 1,000 people. It can be divided into four sections, with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment. The Caribbean room can be divided into three smaller rooms of 1,000 square feet each -- ideal for smaller meetings or intimate dinners. The Mediterranean Room is a board room, with executive style seating for up to twelve or conference seating for up to 20.

The new nightspot, the Tangerine Lounge & Nightclub, seeks to create the feeling of a prohibition-era speakeasy cum burlesque house. Tangerine is both a lounge indoors and a big deck outdoors. The DJ plays rock 'n' roll as well as dance music, alternating with live musical interludes by a jazzy trio of sax, drums and bass that also support the burlesque performances.

Mist Bar and Lounge is a casual and inviting nightspot, aiming to combine the familiarity a neighborhood bar, and the elegance of old school Las Vegas. Mist seeks to attract a lively mix of cool guests with its blend of rock music and popular hits.

The recently renovated pool at TI provides more than enough space for partying or day-dreaming. Nearby there is a 50 person Jacuzzi. And, of course, poolside drink service is everywhere. The pool offers a VIP loft and 4 cabanas, with personal hosts, for those who want a more secluded approach to the pool life. The pool deck is also the scene for evening soirées, known for cocktails and conversation. Occasionally, TI adds live entertainment into the mix until the late hours of the night.

TI has created a pedestrian bridge to connect Treasure Island to the Fashion Show, a mall of upscale department stores and more than 200 specialty shops. Guests have easy access to the latest fashion and a wide variety of shopping options. TI also has its own retail boutiques and shops offering apparel, gifts, jewelry and gourmet items from well-known designers and trade names. Guests can also buy more pirate-theme merchandise than they would have conceived of before coming to Treasure Island.

The wedding planning staff can take care of every detail. TI has a wedding chapel that can accommodate a large group if necessary. Packages can include all or some of the following features: the use of the chapel for the ceremony, the officiant, Bouquets, Boutonnieres and flowers, a rose petal processional, wedding music, prestige photography, champagne, garter, and limousine service. Spa and salon packages for bride, groom and wedding company are also available. Theme weddings can be planned, even for pirates and sirens! Treasure Island will even plan the bachelorette party in Las Vegas!
