Westin Casuarina

The Westin Casuarina Hotel provides 826 rooms and suites, a casino and a spa, just one block from the Las Vegas Strip. Like all Westin properties, it is 100% smoke free. While the resort does offer gaming, dining and entertainment, it also focuses on personal relaxation and comfort. The hotel also positions itself as a great place to stay for convention goers, as it is reasonably close to three (soon to be five) big convention venues. Guests and meeting attendees have convenient parking in a six-story facility that is part of the hotel complex.

The Casuarina Casino has 20,000 square feet of gaming space, featuring ten table games, mainly craps, blackjack and three card poker. There are close to 300 video poker and slot machines in the casino, many of them penny games, and a combination of electronic and reel variety. There is no sports and race book.

Suede is Californian cuisine at its best: sophisticated, but casual. Specialties include the lobster sandwich, light pasta meals and fruity martinis. The menu also offers full entrees like sea bass, seared tuna, rotisserie chicken and a huge rib-eye steak. It is open 24 hours a day. There is also a Starbucks Coffee in the hotel.

The Westin's showroom will book various performers from time to time and is also avail-able as a venue for special events and meetings. Dixie Dooley Master Mystifier is the permanent act at the Showroom.

The Hibiscus Spa is offered as a refuge from the noise of Vegas activities. In its 10,000 square foot facilities a patron can choose from a full menu of facials, body treatments and massages in one of 15 different treatment rooms. There is a Vichy shower, saunas, Jacuzzi and the outdoor pool (with cabanas).The spa also provides a full-service salon for styling, waxing, manicures and pedicures. The fitness center has weight training and aerobic conditioning equipment a la the Westin "Workout" standard, in collaboration with Reebok.

The facilities for meetings include two large ballrooms, a very large, sub-divisible meeting room, and 15 smaller rooms and pre-function space. Total area is over 25,000 square feet. Banquet and conference personnel will assist with all the planning details. There is a fully-operational business center.

The outdoor pool is heated, and has an adjacent Jacuzzi. Cabanas are available for rental.

The shops at Caesars Forum and Fashion Show Mall are not far away from the Westin.
