An avid props bettor with a penchant for high-stakes risk, Huck Seed famously turned down a promising career in basketball for life on the felt. Raised in Montana, California, Huck demonstrated early championship potential for the sport, along with a burning ambition to break it as an electrical engineer. Like most iconic poker players, it was a decision to relocate that broke the camel's back, thrusting Huck into the dizzying world of poker, risk and high-stakes potential. He dropped out of the California Institute of Technology in 1989 and has never looked back.

Huck landed his first official ticket to the World Series of Poker in 1990, promptly quashing any rumor of unreadiness by scooping fourth in Limit Hold'em and 7-Card Hi-Lo events. By 1994, Huck Seed had allegedly quadrupled his bankroll and crashed into the World Series with a straight victory in the Pot-Limit Omaha event, subsequently walking away with a cool $240,000 and first gold bracelet for his efforts. Seed made his comeback in 1996 at Binion's Las Vegas, winning round after round until the Main Event. The 295th and last pay-in at $10,000, Seed went on to defeat Bruce Van Horn for the $1 million prize pot and became the newest photo addition to Binion's Wall of Fame. Seed's winning streak continued until 2003, earning him a further three bracelets and in 2007, he ran 73rd out of 6538 players.

With a number of smaller victories added to his resume between 2003-2009, Huck Seed once again bounced back during the 2009 NBC Head's Up Poker Championship, beating Rousso for the prize pot of $500,000. His victory was further amplified by the fact he was the only player in Head's Up history to cash-in at every round. Seed greeted another $500,000 freeroll win in 2010, steadily graduating to first place in the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions. Huck Seed's WSOP fortune now stands at a whopping $5.9 million, complimented by five WSOP gold bracelets and a 40 total cash record.
