M&M's World
Retreat from the glorious sunshine and step into a world that makes Charlie's “Chocolate Factory” pale by comparison. Located on a prime piece of retail estate at the heart of the Strip, Las Vegas' answer to chocolate heaven beckons you with the promise of four consecutive floors of goodies and no end of unique souvenirs to boot. M&M's branded martini glass anyone?
Launched in 2005, M&M's World Las Vegas quickly became the world's favorite M&M's brand location, despite subsequent openings in New York, Florida and London. Flanked by two monumentally huge M&M's characters, the entrance is a photo opportunity in itself, set against the backdrop of a behemoth neon-lit packet of M&M's over two storeys high and a giant pink candy “tumbler”. Rising like the pipes of a church organ from the rear of the store, the M&M's wall is usually the first thing visitors on arrival. Huge tubes erected side by side fulfill practically every color requirement of the spectrum, packed to the rafters with the infamous sugar coated, chocolate button sweets. Go on, help yourself – there are M&M's tumblers available from nearly every nailed down surface around the store!
The entire ground floor is dedicated to the food and beverage creations of Mars' iconic chocolate brand, goodies ranging from Statue of Liberty candy dispensers, to super-sized oval M&M's wrapped in exuberant foil. Beneath the M&M's “Wall” you'll find a huge sports car gracing an LED lit podium – the very same used for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, driven by Kyle Busch. Catching the elevator is a surreal experience, for the route between all four floors documents the historic timeline of the M&M's brand from founding to present day. Floor 2 is almost entirely dedicated to wearable souvenirs, ranging from slogan tees featuring a “Candy of the Opera” theme, to cook-wear for budding chefs. Be sure to check out the unique handbag corner, all of which are created from recycled wrappers. The newest collection incorporates the glitz of Swarovski Crystal, for a unique brand of M&M's bling!
Beyond the two-floor wonderland of kitsch usual souvenirs, you'll find an unprecedented number of unique gift ideas ranging from themed guitars and shower curtains, to a sublime range of kitchenware that includes a series of limited edition collectible cappuccino mugs. There's even an entire corner of the fourth floor reserved for M&M's branded luggage bags and suitcases! If you find the excitement of shopping has taken its toll on you and the kids, drop by the M&M's film house for a relaxing couple of hours in front of the latest 3D box-office smash hits. A flamboyant slice of chocolatey paradise – even Charlie would be green with envy!
