Club Nikki
Bringing a generous dose of tropical exclusivity, blended with organic color schemes and fashionable minimalism; the Tropicana Hotel's latest night-time hot spot Club Nikki is receiving some well deserved attention. Situated along a Utopian hunk of prime real estate, Club Nikki graces the shores of one of Las Vegas' few man-made beach resorts where schmoozing and chill-out are the order of the day.
Tropicana's Nikki Beach was a follow-on concept from the success of a similar resort of the same name in Miami - launched in 2001. The iconic brand owned by former Bash Nightclub entrepreneur Eric Omores and Penrod's Bar impresario Jack Penrod, has been responsible for a string of similar resorts popping up in St. Tropez and St. Barts – all carrying on the outlandish lap of luxury beach-front theme. As if man-made beaches weren't enough, the partnership took the Nikki brand to another realm of sophistication, with the addition of king-size four poster canopied beds and giant thatched swim-bars dotted along central pool islands. The sleek concept for Vegas was finished in March 2011 and is the biggest Nikki resort yet!
With over 15,000 feet of prime party space, Club Nikki steals the crown for being one of the largest continuous nightclub resorts in Vegas – a title further enhanced by the owner's mission to make it “the ultimate global beach club, night club and pool party experience in Las Vegas”. Why waste time hedging your bets in a dimly lit Sin City casino, when Club Nikki offers swim-up Blackjack tables, poolside poker and a cache of sashaying beauties employed with the task of drinks service? Club Nikki was designed to allow everyday Joe to experience rock star sophistication amid Hawaiian surroundings – a feat which has already seen it become the hang-out for said rock stars themselves.
Beset within a verdant rainforest garden, Club Nikki enjoys an exclusivity that could only be influenced by it's pre-planned surroundings. A border of dense vegetation and swaying palms conceals the party paradise from nearby parking lots and passers by, with domed poolside cabanas offering further enhanced privacy. Great cascading waterfalls and music synonymous with Cafe Del Mar (Ibiza) create a semblance of tranquility amid the cacophony of funky beats and laughter emanating from indoors. The real party kicks off every night through the mirrored glass doors of the nightclub itself where world-class DJ's such as Jojo Flores and Robbie Rivera mix up house, rap and dance beats for your gyrating pleasure.
Oozing class and sophistication, one might think Club Nikki to be too pretentious and up-market for the average Vegas holiday-maker, and yet the beauty of the resort is that everyone is treated like a star. Most drinks are modestly priced between $8-$15 dollars and cover charges remain at a competitive average with other clubs in the city. A surefire tip to ensure you aren't ushered from the smoothly flowing queue is to wear something classy. If it's a bikini, make sure the top and bottom halves match!
