Surrender
Temptation doesn't come any larger or louder than in Las Vegas. From the chinking of coin slots to the snappy flourish of a card deck – casinos beckon with bright lights and multi-million dollar prizes. Mirror-like pools of ornamental beauty reflect the towering architecture of super-resorts along the Strip, yet the urge to dive in headlong is for many, overwhelming. The same applies to Las Vegas nightclubs. Teeming with beautiful bodies; tantalizing with audacious cocktails and beckoning with headliner celebrity DJ's, few can possibly resist the opportunity of mingling with the jet-set. Surrender, at the showy new Encore Hotel Resort commands you to give in to Vegas temptation and become one of the elite, whom decorate it's swanky interior.
In comparison to the recently opened Chateau and Club Nikki nightspots, Surrender has had time to establish a presence among the popular all night entertainment offerings, having launched in June 2010. Connected to the Encore Hotel, Surrender already had a head start with the backing of local hotel guru Steve Wynn, whom also owns the adjacent sister hotel Wynn Las Vegas. Wynn's brand alone marks a new era of change and modernization in Vegas, as he is accredited with the resurgence of real-estate development in the 1990's and much of the revived North Strip properties in operation today. With links to nouveau theater company Cirque de Soleil and stakes in the Planet Hollywood entertainment complex, Wynn is also considered one of the gurus of Las Vegas entertainment – a deserved tag given the success of Encore's Surrender Nightclub in it's first year of trading.
With a modest 5,000 square foot interior, the Eden inspired Surrender is markedly smaller than most of the up-market Vegas night lairs, however also extends to a 45,000 square foot garden retreat where patrons can party until the early hours. Fashioned around a decadent rectangular swimming pool decorated with spewing ornamental fountains, the gardens are every inch the paradise idyll. The zesty yellows of Surrenders interior are complimented by an abrupt switch to a burnt Moroccan orange around the pool area, which is decked out with sun loungers, bleached white tables and spacious sofas along the perimeter. Swaying palms continue the tropical theme and bring a touch of the exotic Caribbean into the mix.
With no definitive dance space, newbies to Surrender are often of the mindset the Wynn club is purely a beauty hangout. In fact, Surrender has been purposely designed as a casual nightspot, where patrons are free to mingle or party hard. The perimeter of the club comprises one long continuous sofa, with just a couple of central island seating spots. A raised platform provides yet another expansive area with the same layout, and a glass paneled DJ booth to the rear. Revelers intent on shaking their thing tend to congregate around the DJ area, although a weather-proofed sound system carries hip hop and dance beats out into the garden area too. Designed to be the epitome of the lap of luxury, Wynn's tempting casual pool club continues to be a winner on the ever evolving club circuit!
