Nove Italiano

Nove Italiano is the Italian restaurant creation of the N9NE Group. It combines the classic Italian cuisine with some very modern innovations. It is fifty-one stories above the street, near the top of the “Fantasy Tower" of the Palms Resort Casino, and just below Moon (the nightclub) and the Playboy Club. Terraces and big glass windows give all dinner guests amazing views of Las Vegas below. Decoration is outlandish: the gilded furniture is upholstered in purple leather and the Swarovski crystal chandeliers change colors. Old fashioned gilded frames encase plasma screens that feature famous works of Italian artists. The tall, sculptured topiaries in the Garden Room are shaped in sensuous, feminine forms. The cuisine also blends the old and the new. For example, Nove prepares spaghetti at a cooking station in the dining room, adding all sorts of seafood to the mix, like lobster, crab, shrimp, calamari and scallops. The three pound Maine lobster, dubbed “The Big Sicilian,” is grilled in olive oil and lemon. The pastas of Nove Italiano are homemade. The sauces are simple by comparison to many of the elaborate dishes on the menu. Even thin pizzas are offered, some with luxurious toppings. If you are in the mood for a steak, order the bistecca fiorentina, which will be carved at the table. The wine list is an expert collection of the best of Italy’s wines.
