Stack
Stack is operated by the Light Group, which also created FIX in the Bellagio. Following its style for nightclubs, the Light Group has created a modern and stylish setting that is also very inviting and accommodating. The emphasis is placed on food designed to please the steakhouse clientele without being the same old fare. Service is designed to be as good or better as you can find anywhere. The decor creates a canyon effect, with high ceilings and curved, dark wooden walls with a floor to match and lighter colors on the tables. Examples of the creative aspects of Stack’s menu are the cheese-filled, super-sized "tater tots" (really, potato croquettes) and even “pigs in a blanket.” You might want to try the "Shake .'n' Bake" chicken wings. On the more serious side, ahi tuna, crab cakes, calamari, shrimp and lobster, sea bass with lobster risotto, are just a few of the many seafood choices. Steak comes in all varieties, including a giant 44-ounce steak for two. The home-made sauces are themselves noteworthy, ranging from fruity and tangy mango to the bolder and darker flavors to accompany the steaks. A popular favorite to order is “hot rocks,” this slices of sirloin that guests can cook for themselves on a hot stone. A ten-ounce Kobe burger is on the menu with onions and cheddar cheese from Vermont. Chicken, veal and chops (pork and lamb) round out the steakhouse menu. Deserts are equally creative, including a grown-up version of “s’mores” and apple potpie with maple-pecan brittle ice cream.
