Night School 4 Girls
How do you rate your seduction skills on a scale of temptress to tease? Laura Croft, buxom brunette star of E!'s “Holly's World” and pole dancer extraordinaire compels you to discover your inner seductress at her mentored “Night School 4 Girls” - the newest addition to Vegas' burgeoning catalog of pole dancing academies. Dubbed the official “higher education class for nightlife entertainment”, it promises to test even the most lithe of ladies with athletic choreography, hip-popping dance routines and advanced lessons in the art of burlesque.
Housed within the Thunder From Down Under Showroom at the grandiose Excalibur Hotel, “Night School 4 Girls” is conveniently situated at the heart of the Strip, close to a huge proliferation of other award-winning evening revues and a slew of girls-only cocktail bars - should you fancy a post-show tipple. Predominantly targeted at Vegas' 18-30 crowd, Night School is a ladies-only experience offered five nights a week. Erstwhile Playmate and ex-reality TV star Laura Croft heads up much of the evening program, which includes exclusive makeup seminars, 'man-handling' and post-party energizing techniques guaranteed to revive even the most worn out of party players.
Night School 4 Girls embodies the typical American finishing school in concept, replete with everything from lessons in dinner etiquette to 'strutting' techniques. But, that's where the comparable similarities end. Unlike finishing school, Night School commands you to ditch the wallflower mentality and release your inner exhibitionist – apparently the only route to becoming a bona fide pole-dancing star. Surrounded by impeccably toned, taut Vegas showgirls, it's impossible not to feel a little self conscious during the opening stages. Croft quickly puts her ladies at ease using tried and tested mentoring techniques, which include a few choice methods for boosting self-confidence (such as re-arranging your posture). Whilst six inch stilettos are not compulsory apparatus, Croft does advise practicing your 'strut' in Jimmy Choos, if you really want to achieve the stage 'wiggle'!
The stage experience is integral to Night School's allure and quite frankly, sets it apart from other pole dancing experiences. Nowhere else can you experience the rush of performing under spotlights in a real auditorium, surrounded by the cream of Sin City's dance talent. Picking up from the brief seminar on posture and performance, Laura Croft's team of dazzling beauties dive straight in with basic pole maneuvers. Getting to grips with your pole (and your balance) is for many, one of the most hilarious experiences of the evening and instantly expels a little of the pressure. Pole performance is swiftly followed by an intensive in the art of burlesque, including a fleeting talk on maintaining eye contact. Finally, each and every attendee is assessed on their progress individually by a member of the Night School show team, marked up on everything from poise and prowess, to sultriness and 'believability'. Whether you're a 30 something mum or an ambitious amateur dancer, receiving your Night School Diploma will be the proudest moment of your performing career. Will you take it to the next level?
