Ted Forrest
Ted Forrest hails from Syracuse, New York, where he was born in 1964. He now makes his home in Las Vegas. In 1993, Ted amazed the poker world by winning three WSOP bracelets in the same year (Omaha 8, Razz and Seven Card Stud). He then took a few years off from tournaments and concentrated on cash games. Then, he returned in 2004 to take two more WSOP bracelets (No Limit Hold’em and Seven Card Stud). He has made it to the final table four times in WPT events and has won a championship on the Professional Poker Tour. He competed in the Poker Superstars Invitational during the second and third seasons. More recently, Forrest won half a million dollars in the 2006 National Heads-up Poker Championship against the likes of Chris Ferguson, Erik Seidel, Sam Farha, Chad Brown, and “Sheiky” Shahram Sheikham. He followed this victory in 2007 with the Bay 101 Shooting Stars Tournament, in the longest heads-up session in WPT’s history. He won $1.125 million by defeating J.J. Liu. In all, Ted has won more than $5 million in live tournaments as a pro.
