Las Vegas' Gun Store down on Tropicana Avenue is one of the few licensed places in Nevada that allows you to find out. Kitted out wall to wall with A.K-47's, Ruger MKIII's and the aptly named Desert Eagle 44. Magnums, the Gun Store is sharp-shooter's haven of hand-held weaponry. Better still, you don't need to be a firearms permit holder in order to enjoy a trigger happy afternoon here.

Paired with an experienced on-site range instructor, you too can experience the adrenaline buzz of pulling back the trigger and taking a shot at military grade targets, at the Gun Store Firing Range. Whether beginner or semi-amateur in experience, you'll be guaranteed one-on-one attention and your pick of state-of-the-art weaponry. With a bewildering array of semi-automatics (like the Beretta Cx4) sub-machine guns and semi-automatic rifles, you're certainly spoiled for options when it comes to your weapon of choice. Open from 9 am to 10 pm with a large team of hands-on staff, you don't necessarily have to limit yourself to just a single 5-shot round either. Under 18's are required to be accompanied by adults at all times and a lower age limit of twelve minimum applies, however it doesn't mean you can't bring along the family as spectators. Each range unit features a bullet proof glass partition, behind which friends or family are welcome to watch from the sidelines.

Advanced gun toters are welcomed to the VIP Range like old buddies. If you wish to bring along your own equipment, you will need to supply a license, permitting your use of that weapon. The Gun Store maintain that only store bought, frangible and lead-free ammunition may be used, so it might be more convenient to hire your firearms on arrival. Prior booking applies to the VIP range, however the main range is open to all on a non-booking basis. Fancy yourself as a gun-toting cowboy? Try your luck at the Gun Store.
